Paula Banks,
Owner
Paula Banks, LSW, CMC has been a geriatric social worker licensed in the State of Maine for 30 years. Paula has been an 'Aging Life Care Expert' certified by the National Association of Aging Life Care Experts (formerly known as the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers) since 2005. She holds a certification from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. Paula is also the owner of a private care management business, (Paula Banks Consulting) where she uses her expertise to assist older adults and their loved ones with short term and long-term care planning and solutions.
Paula is the author of The ElderCare Revolution, published in 2012 by Legacy Publishing Company. Paula was a frequent guest on Good Day Maine between 2009-2013 as their elder care expert. Paula's articles on aging and caregiving have been published worldwide. She has a special interest in mental health and spent 12 years on the Maine Behavioral Health Development Committee. Paula is a past Chair of the Board of 75 State Street in Portland, Maine. A an elder care expert Paula's services are often utilized by elder law attorneys for expert witness testimony in guardianship cases.
Paula has a passion for her family, intergenerational learning, positive aging, social justice and the prevention of all forms of elder abuse.
Isabell Kubeck,
Director of Elder Care Services
Isabell Kubeck's love of personal stories and passion for helping others has fueled her desire to work with and spend time with elders. She believes that they bring experience and valuable insight on life that can be so helpful for younger generations. In her career, Isabell has had the pleasure of working with seniors in a variety of roles, including as a caregiver, registered medication aide, human resource professional, and administrator of a memory care facility.
In her current multi-faceted role Isabell enjoys leading a team of compassionate and dedicated caregivers in providing high quality services to clients in need. Isabell appreciates the highly personalized care home care is able to provide to each client and is committed to being an advocate for clients to ensure their immediate as well as ongoing needs are best met.
When not at the office, Isabell enjoys spending time with her family and exploring Maine.
Katrina Tasker,
Assistant Manager
Positive Approach to Care® Certified Independent Trainer
Katrina Tasker found her love for seniors at a young age, while being raised in an in-home style Assisted Living community. She has gained experience in differing positions in the elder care industry, including caregiving in facilities and homecare, memory care and administrative support. Throughout the years Katrina developed a deep compassion for seniors along with a practical understanding of differing conditions.
She has held different positions since joining the Compass team in 2018 including Caregiver and On-Call Support. In her current role, Katrina plays a crucial part in maintaining smooth operations by managing the schedule, assisting with recruiting, and various administrative tasks. She holds the Positive Approach to Care® (PAC) Trainer certification and enjoys sharing her expertise on dementia with Compass caregivers and families. When not at work, Katrina loves puzzles, baking and spending time with her daughters.
